Service Description
"Practically speaking, the most positive outcome of meditation is judged, not by what we experience on or off the cushion, but rather by the integrity of choices we make when not meditating" Lonny Jarrett, Deepening Perspectives on Chinese Medicine. Meditation goes by many names nowadays. Practically, it is a way to know your personal mind so intimately that you are no longer pushed to REACT to the world around you, but can instead RESPOND to it carefully, with grace and ease. WHAT WILL MEDITATION LOOK LIKE FOR ME, EXACTLY? While the principle of meditation is the same for everyone, the way it will translate onto your body may differ, for example, in duration, posture, and frequency. Instructions can be a for a few breaths or for an extended sitting time. WHAT IS ANDRÉA'S BACKGROUND IN MEDITATION? I practice non-dual, non-seeded meditation as taught to me by Lonny Jarret, Global Chinese Medicine practitioner. While this is a deep and demanding form of practice, aligned with Buddhist teachings, I also take into account your health and lifestyle in order to suggest custom programs that fit your life as it is now. WHAT MEDITATION IS NOT: According to Lonny Jarrett, meditation is cultivation. It is a return of source. It is not contemplation and thinking. Ready to dive deeper? Book a class or a free consultation. Honoring the guidance from several esteemed teachers, I do not take payment for this service. Proceeds will go to the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy (foundationforpn.org) and The Stroke Foundation (thestrokefoundation.org).
