Strength & Adaptability

"Água mole em pedra dura, tanto bate até que fura". Much is said about being like Water. Adaptable. This Brazilian saying captures the resilience of water, that will hit on the hard rock until it breaks it to pieces and turns to grains of sand.

Even if it takes millennia.

As a health care provider, I bring this quality of  resilience to the work in the clinic - we'll pursue all avenues to make sure you are elevated to the best version of yourself!

Vision

We empower innovative creators in the form of emerging professionals, proven practitioners or living legends, to continuously advance their fields with excellence, preserving the legacy of their traditions to generations yet unborn.

Résumé

I have a B.S. in Communications from USP (Brazil's top University) and I'm pursuing a Doctorate in Acupuncture at Pacific College of Health and Sciences, where I'm also a tutor (license estimated: 2026).

In addition to my program's coursework, I actively pursue a variety of continuing education courses in Chinese Medicine.

Highlights:

  • 2-year Clinical Integration course with Lonny Jarrett. Five-element constitutional diagnosis and a depth view of Chinese physiology all from an integral and developmental perspective, with Shen-Hammer pulse diagnosis.

  • 10-month Daoist Death Medicine with Randine Lewis
    - Learning how to assist in relieving fear, anxiety and suffering in the dying process.
    - Developed care plans care plans that allow patients to pass with peace and dignity.
    - Offered methods to incorporate non-pharmacologic tools such as acupuncture, essential oils, stones, and herbal medicine to the care approach to the dying.
    - Active alumni of the program

  • 8-month Dimensions of the self with Lonny Jarrett.
"To know the Patient, Know Thyself". Among this course's objectives are:
    - Learn to distinguish between the voice of conscience, and the dictates of superego.
    -  Investigate the relationship between the mind, will, ego, and development.
    - Understand medicine in a non-dual context.

  • Ongoing since 2024: Pulse Diagnosis in the tradition of Shen-Hammer with Tracy Soltesz (Senior Teacher, primary instructor).
The Shen-Hammer Pulse System offers a comprehensive look into a patient’s past and present health history and indicates to the practitioner a potential future trajectory of those health conditions.

  • 2-year Neijing Nature-Based Medicine, led by Dr. Ed Neal, M.D.
A Postgraduate Mentorship Training on the Huangdi Neijing text and modern learning approaches and knowledge. The curriculum, informed by the practice of Classical Text Archaeology (CTA), focuses on the natural patterns of the cosmos and nature and the implications of these principles in the healthcare setting.

  • 1 year The Cosmic Map: Unlocking the Clinical Potential of the Acupuncture Point Names, led by Heiner Fruehauf.
This series is designed to further the lifelong learner’s journey as they deepen their mastery of acupuncture point selections based on the profound information embedded in their classical names.

  • 5 intensive sessions Applied Channel Theory: Dr. Wang Ju-Yi’s lifetime of curiosity as a clinician and historian culminated in his
development of Applied Channel Theory which revived ancient diagnostic techniques
that he applied clinically to deepen his understanding of channel theory. This approach focuses on Channel Palpation and using fewer needles for very elegant and effective treatments.

Hospice work has a special place in my heart, in addition to courses. I volunteered for Hospice of New York as a companion. I trained new hires for the position. I visited different facilities, including family homes and assisted living facilities. I am certified as End-of-Life Specialist by Teaching Transitions and I'm part of a 1-year Mentorship with Randine Lewis on Daoist Death Medicine.
I'm also a Student Member of NAHPCA (National Association of Hospice and Palliative Care Acupuncturists).

Additional interests and courses:
Brain Health, Menopause, Aging, Psychology, Philosophy, and dissection.
